The 2023 Turlock Field Meet was a massive success for the program. After getting top-3 for 3-straight tournaments the goal was to continue improvement. After a tough start to the day where multiple teams played simultaneously, the result was one that the CE AFJROTC had never achieved. The team ended with three 1st place finishes and six 2nd place finishes, a tournament record for the Timberwolves. Overall, an amazing start to the year for the Clovis AFJROTC.

09/11 Ceremony
An annual event that the Clovis East Air Force JROTC does is the September 11th memorial ceremony. Every year on the morning of September 11th, the unit combines forces with the Fire Tech program to conduct a flag raising ceremony. Cadet Emaly Nieves conducted a speech with the flag raising team to commemorate and honor the lives lost on September 11th, 2001. After the Clovis East event, the unit’s Color Guard team took part in a ceremony at Reagan Elementary school where they presented the colors.

144th fighter wing base tour
The Clovis East AFJROTC took a trip to the 144th Fighter Wing and had a base tour. During their trip they got to witness different work areas around the base including the parking apron with F-15’s, main hangar, armament, metal FAB shop, fire station, EOD, and the emergency management facility. The unit also had an assumption of command ceremony for our 20th squadron commander, Emaly Nieves in front of the F-15’s. This was the first official base visit for the Clovis East Air Force JROTC.
