Lt. Col. (Ret.) Walter Miller

Lt Col (ret) Walter L. Miller began his career as the CUSD Senior Aerospace Science Instructor on 3 January 2021. Prior to becoming a teacher, Lt Col Miller served 20 years as a USAF Civil Engineer Officer. Lt Col Miller’s duty stations were 35 CES, Misawa AFB, Japan; 9 CES, Beale AFB, CA; Civilian Institute, GA Tech, Atlanta, GA; Instructor, Air Force Institute of Technology, WPAFB, OH; Host Nation Construction Management, US Forces Japan, Yokota Air Base, Japan; and Base Civil Engineer, 144th Fighter Wing, Fresno, CA. Lt Col Miller’s deployments include Al Udeid AB, Qatar; Taji, Iraq; and Sather Air Base, Iraq.

Lt Col Miller has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, Prescott, AZ, and a Master of Science in Facility Management from Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, GA.

A Clovis, CA native, Lt Col Miller was part of the second graduating class at Buchanan High School. It was during his senior year there that he met his wife, Megan. They have four children, who all attend school at the REC. The Miller family roots for any team that positively represents the USA and Clovis, CA. The family enjoys the outdoors and tries to live by the motto “I want to go where the people aren’t” when exploring.

MSgt. (Ret.) Patrick Latour

MSgt. Latour enlisted into the United States Air Force (USAF) in August 1992 out of Schenectady, NY.  He served over 22 years in the United States Air Force and retired in June 2014.  He started his career as a Maintenance Data Systems Analyst working at the Air Force Research Laboratory. 

After serving 8 years at Hanscom Air Force Base in this position, he decided he was ready for a career change. MSgt. Latour was selected to be a recruiter for the USAF and was sent to Oakland, CA for his first tour.  After 2 years at his position in Oakland, he chose to move with his wife to Schenectady, NY for his 2nd recruiting tour.  He served 3 years as a recruiter in New York and then transferred from Active Duty to the Air National Guard in Fresno, CA. He finished his career as a recruiter with the Air Guard in Fresno, CA. He is married to his wife, Cynthia. They have been married since 2001 and have 3 children. He’s been an AFJROTC Instructor here at Clovis East since 2018.

Some of his hobbies include playing golf, basketball, cornhole, watching movies with his family, and traveling throughout the country. 

Tanvir Singh

Tanvir Singh was born in Modesto, CA, and was a former 4-year cadet from 2014-2018. As a cadet in the Clovis East AFJROTC, he was a distinguished part of many Sports and Color Guard teams. In his Junior year, he became a Squadron Commander. The first ever Junior Squadron Commander within the program. His JROTC career includes him winning multiple trophies in Volleyball, Color Guard, Bowling, Soccer, Football, Dodgeball, and Orienteering.

He now attends Full Sail University and Los Angeles Film College. At Full Sail University, he is pursuing a degree in Sports Broadcasting and at Los Angeles Film College he is pursuing a bachelor’s in Media Communications. He has already had an internship with ESPN and is looking to continue his career in sports broadcasting. While pursuing his college degrees, he has coached sports and color guard at the Clovis AFJROTC since 2019.

Some of his hobbies include playing/watching sports, traveling, playing video games, watching movies/tv, and working out.
